These combat maps serve as great practice if you are looking to improve your freeflow skills or if you are looking to beat a high score. Batman has a new series of combos with these moves, all of which you can pair with his iconic gadgets, but with new combos also come with new enemies to fight. Like Asylum, Arkham City requires the player to create combos using these simple buttons to defeat enemies. Although these moves appear quite straightforward, Batman: Arkham City is not a button-mashing game, meaning you cannot rely on pressing one button to beat the game. ![]() The combat is fairly simple you have buttons to attack, stun, counter and dodge. ![]() Gameplay-wise, Batman: Arkham City takes all the amazing elements that made Asylum iconic and refines them. Rocksteady even introduces a gameplay sequence with Catwoman, giving her a story that converges with Batman’s. Throughout the game, Batman encounters familiar faces from the Rogues Gallery including Two-Face, Joker, Riddler, Hush and many more, all with their respective mini-boss battles. Something big is happening in Arkham City that Hugo Strange calls a monument of Batman’s failure. All the criminals in Blackgate Penitentiary and Arkham Asylum have been transferred to a sectioned-off part of Gotham City controlled by the notorious psychiatrist, Professor Hugo Strange.
